A Rowena’s Inn Wedding – Audrina & Sanel
Welcome to my very first blog on my new website!! I am SO excited to show you all past couples, photo sessions, and events that I’ve been able to capture over the years. Starting off strong, we have Audrina & Sanel, who I had the pleasure of capturing at Rowena’s Inn in Harrison BC, in the summer of 2022.
Getting Ready
A Rowena’s Inn Wedding is always a good one and when I tell you their day was short but filled to the brim with action I’m not lying. We started off with some gorgeous getting ready photos at the main cottage with Audrina and some of Sanel’s family.
On my way to meet Sanel at his cabin, we ended up running into each other halfway and did some “getting ready” images outside! There are so many beautiful photo locations at Rowena’s Inn but in that moment we chose to stick nearby with the front of the cottage and small forest adjacent.
The Ceremony
Audrina & Sanel chose to have their intimate ceremony under the large oak tree that Rowena’s Inn is known for. Your audience is able to watch two loved ones tie the knot while also enjoying the breath taking river and mountain view.
One of my all time FAVOURITE ceremony moments is when Audrina’s super long veil blew everyone away, so much that it popped out! This hilarious but tender moment of Sanel’s father helping her out set the mood for the beginning of their forever.
I won’t get into too many details about their ceremony, but the least I can say is there wasn’t a dry eye in the crowd. Including me.
Family & Friends
Following them saying “I do!” and signing paperwork we did some quick guest photos! I normally don’t include a ton of these in my blogs but some just HAD to be shown!
I SWEAR we took real family & friend photos as well, LOL.
The Portraits
Audrina & Sanel chose not to have a full wedding party, and that meant all the attention and photo time was their MOMENT! These two have the most amazing chemistry and were up for anything, running all around Rowena’s from the cottage, to the forest, to the view of the river. Unfortunately the dock was underwater at this point in time but who needs that when you have so many options at this venue!
A Quick Pit Stop
With a little time left over before the reception was due to start, this couple had one request- some photos with their cars! There wasn’t any way I was going to miss out on that and we caught some hectic images towards the end!
The Reception
A different type of Shenanigan was about to begin! It started with a warm welcome from the crowd and many, many shots. Even I, who didn’t put up much a fight if I’m being honest, toasted a little tequila to the newly announced Hodzic’s.
With only 4 hours of photo coverage, we sure filled it to epic proportion! Can you believe all of this wasn’t a full day?! I’m so thankful that Audrina & Sanel chose me to capture their big day and am always excited to be included in a Rowena’s Inn wedding. Here’s to being Mr. & Mrs. and to your new journey together!
